Food Friday
Good evening parents! Tomorrow is Food Friday. We will be making nachos for the letter N. The students are very excited, and some of them told us today about cooking with their parents at home. I really appreciate your dedication to your child's education. The students are all very excited about helping with Thanksgiving dinner next week! Good Luck and have a great weekend!

Weekday Windup
Well we have almost made it through another week. For the rest of this week we will be working on geometric shapes. I encourage you to work on the shapes with your children when they get home. Practice them over the weekend and point out things around the house and have them tell you what shape each everyday object is. It will be good for the students to relate these words for everyday objects. Please feel free to reply to me if you have any questions. Have a great evening!

All is well
The class has been doing great this week. The have loved the Turkeys and are very excited to see what we are going to cook next in the classroom. With all the interest in cooking, I think it would be great if the kids were given an opportunity at home. I know many of you are very busy, but if the opportunity comes up, give them a chance to help you out with dinner.
We will be having a tornado drill next week, and it will give the students the opportunity to learn what to do in case of severe weather. I encourage each of you to make an emergency plan for your home and have a practice run or two so everyone knows what to do in case of an emergency.
Have a great evening!

The Letter People
Tomorrow we will be working on the letters D and N. Your child will be bringing home a worksheet. Please take the time to work with them on these letters and help them where they need it. We will be doing our kitchen session in collaboration with the letters as well. For the Letter D we will be making Donuts and for the letter N we will be making Nachos.
After we have finished with the letters this week, we will be working on letters F and G. I will let you know when the time gets closer the interesting food your child will be making. The students were all very well behaved and are excited about Thanksgiving!
